Residents observed giant hailstones reaching sizes of 7 centimeters in particular locations. The Bureau of Meteorology confirmed that different parts across Queensland had been affected by substantial ice precipitation.

Emergency response teams responded to 598 calls for help across the state, primarily for property damage but also for fallen timber and water accumulation.

Moist weather were forecast to persist along much of Queensland's east this week as a low-pressure trough continued to attract humidity against the coastal areas.
Tomorrow was forecast to be the heaviest precipitation period, with persistent severe weather risk anticipated across various areas of both regions.
